find leaks with sure

Bought this infrared-sensor based detector two months ago for my own AC unit repair, successfully found every leak, big or small, in two systems, which allow me to fix the problem once and for all. Easy to use, highly sensitive yet no false alarm, with a right strategy, could pinpoint a leak hole down to 1 inch distance.

It seems like it works

Eh I just like having a better tool then my coworkers, I do ac work all day and having a good sniffer helps. I’m not sure how great it is because I’ve noticed it will have random hits on certain plastics on cars. Maybe it’s soaked in Freon, maybe it’s the plastic that has the chemical the sniffer is also trying to pick up. The sniffer will also get random hits with vibrations like being dragged out of a grill to check a condenser it will get a high hit on the vibrations from that. I’ve learned the weirdness to the tool and so far I’m getting a 80% of the leaks on cars that come in. I hope in time I can get 100% but I’ve noticed it won’t pick up Freon that’s underneath a heavily oil soaked compressor or a supppppper tiny leak. In hard to reach places it has a good range, and the little light that comes with it sucks ass but other then that really happy with it. Really upped my ac repair game now I get almost all the ac jobs at my shop
