How Many Kinds of Refrigerant Gases
When it comes to refrigerants, most people think of air conditioners first. Indeed, in terms of daily life, air conditioners are installed in almost every household, and the frequency of application is quite high.
However, what we are going to talk about today is not an air conditioner, but an air energy heat pump that has a similar principle to an air conditioner.
Air conditioners are mainly used for cooling, and air energy heat pumps are mainly used for heating. The heating principle of the heat pump is actually the reverse principle of the air conditioning refrigeration, which absorbs the heat energy in the air through the refrigerant.
Therefore, it is not unreasonable to say that the refrigerant plays the most critical role in the heating of air energy.
And what kinds of refrigerants are commonly used in air? Today, I will take you to know about it.
Refrigerant R22
Refrigerant R22 is a single refrigerant, the scientific name is difluoro-chloromethane, and the boiling point is about -41 ℃. This refrigerant is colorless and odorless, and is the most widely used in air conditioning systems, especially in split air conditioners and central air conditioning systems, and can be seen everywhere.
However, it has one of the biggest shortcomings, that is, it is actually a member of the Freon family. When it is discharged into the air, it may cause damage to the ozone layer and cause environmental problems.
R134A refrigerant
The composition of R134A is different from that of other refrigerants. It does not contain chloride ions, is not toxic, is not flammable in the air, and does not cause damage to the ozone layer. It seems to be perfect, but its boiling point is relatively low, only -26.5 ℃, which means that if it is used in a heat pump, once the ambient temperature drops, the gasification of this refrigerant will be greatly reduced, This leads to a decrease in the heating efficiency of the heat pump.
Therefore, this refrigerant is not as widely used as R22, and is generally used in indoor or high-temperature heat pumps.
R410A refrigerant
R410A refrigerant is an environmentally friendly refrigerant developed by scientists for the increasingly deteriorating environment. It is similar to R134A, colorless, volatile and non-flammable. The ingredients contain R32 and R125 refrigerants, with a boiling point of about -51 °C, no chloride ions, and no damage to the ozone layer. The water solubility is comparable to R22, but the cooling capacity has been significantly improved. Now it is also the most common new environmentally friendly refrigerant in the air energy industry!
R29 refrigerant
R29 is another new environmentally friendly refrigerant, colorless, slightly soluble in water, without ozone. But the safety factor is not high enough. If it is mixed with air, there is a certain probability of explosion. If it encounters an open flame, it is easy to cause an accident.
At present, the industry is accustomed to using high-purity R290 refrigerant as the temperature-sensing working medium.
Judging from the development ideas of my country's continuous emphasis on energy saving and environmental protection, the development of refrigerants for air-energy heat pumps is also following the idea of environmental protection and pollution-free. In the future heat pump market, environmentally friendly refrigerants will surely occupy a place. Let's contribute to the defense of the blue sky together!
